This is the second ETIP SNET Regional Workshop of 2024, the event will be held in person in Milan on October 21st at PwC's premises (Piazza Tre Torri 2, Milan).
The central theme of this regional workshop is "Integrating Renewable Energy Capacity While Ensuring Grid Flexibility." Achieving the ambitious renewable energy targets set by the European Commission under the EU Green Deal and REPowerEU requires significant advancements in both centralized and distributed renewable energy, which will place additional demands on power grids and necessitate advanced flexibility solutions.
During the workshop, experts will address key aspects of enhancing grid flexibility through the integration of renewable energy in transmission and distribution grids, with a focus on the South-Eastern Europe region. The event will feature various sessions, including presentations and panel discussions.
The event will bring together key stakeholders, including senior representatives from the European Commission, energy technology and storage providers, transmission system operators (TSOs) and distribution system operators (DSOs), ICT providers, energy utilities, research and innovation organizations, national ministries and regulators, energy agencies, and funding bodies.
