At the centre of Smart Energy Systems Week Austria is the system integration of energy technologies and the flexibilization of the energy system. The event focuses on the sectors innovation, research and technology development in a socio-technical and socio-cultural context. Energy sub-systems and infrastructure (grids, buildings, transport systems, etc.) and their interaction (linking sectors, building to grid, vehicle to grid, etc.) are considered. Aspects of the institutional framework for innovation and market transition shall also be discussed.
This year’s conference is in a new format comprising 1-2 days of workshops and a 3 ½ day conference with a range of topics running through the conference.
