ETIP SNET chairman Konstantin Staschus and project coordinator Eric Peirano presented ETIP SNET through a free real time webinar course on 8 June.
The Leonardo Energy initiative held a free ETIP SNET Webinar session entitled “ETIP SNET: For an innovative and successful European energy transition” on 8 June. In this webinar – hosted by Fernando Nuño, the ETIP SNET role and main priorities were introduced by its chairman Konstantin Staschus. Eric Peirano presented the new 10 year ETIP SNET Research & Innovation Roadmap 2017-2026. The roadmap provides a system view and addresses a scope larger than smart electricity grids by encompassing interactions with the gas and heat networks and focuses on integration of all flexibility solutions into the power system, including energy storage technologies.
ETIP SNET (European Technology and Innovation Platform Smart Networks for Energy Transition) is a platform dedicated to making sure that Europe’s Research and Innovation facilitates all energy customers and market actors to rely on optimally integrated networks, systems and markets.
Leonardo Energy is a global initiative providing sustainable energy professionals with the knowledge to manage the energy transition. It was set up in 2004 as a platform to connect energy technologies, policies and markets. It aims to accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy economy by advocating progressive energy policies and by providing free education and training tools.
