The European Technology and Innovation Platform for Smart Networks for Energy Transition (ETIP SNET) in collaboration with Elia, Flux 50, Cluster Tweed and the Public Service of Wallonia will host the second ETIP SNET’s Central Region Workshop, to be held on October 11-12 in Brussels, Belgium.

The Workshop will provide a unique opportunity to learn from Central Region’s national Research & Innovation (R&I) projects and the chance to contribute to the identification of R&I gaps, challenges and priorities at Central Region and EU levels.

Are you a representative of: a university, a technology center, an energy utility, a distribution or transmission system operator, a technology provider, a funding authority, a ministry, a regulator, a national platform?

Are you active in the field of: Smart Grid Systems? Storage? Interfaces between electricity and heat, gas and transport? Flexible thermal and renewable generation? Digitization? Customer participation?

Are you interested in projects from: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and Switzerland?

THEN DO NOT MISS THE ETIP SNET CENTRAL REGION WORKSHOP IN BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) ON OCTOBER 11-12, 2018!

You will have the chance to find out more about outstanding national projects including:

  • The Rural Intelligent Grid Project (Poland) aims to develop new interactive energy and infrastructure design tool for optimal planning and operation of emerging energy infrastructures in rural areas with the active participation of citizens. A test in a Polish town has been carried out and the added value for the region and employment effects (visibility, energy efficiency, jobs creation) has been demonstrated.
  • The Smart Grid Battery Storage Project (Austria) demonstrates how battery systems can contribute to system stability, in addition to the contribution for covering the ancillary services with high share of renewable power producers.
  • The InduStore Project (Belgium) quantifies and leverages the potential of energy flexibility in industrial sites, using advanced analytic methods such as optimization and artificial intelligence.

Attendance is free of charge. Please visit /events/regional-workshops/central-region/  for more information on Agenda, Venue location and to Register!
