Last March, key stakeholders gathered for two days of crucial discussions on the future of Europe’s energy transition.
During the ETIP SNET Governing Board meeting, participants actively contributed to the update of the ETIP SNET Research and Innovation Roadmap, scheduled for publication in December 2025. These updates aim to align research and innovation efforts with evolving market dynamics and policy priorities.
On the second day, ETIP SNET participated in and co-organized the ETIPs Forum “Advancing the SET Plan for a sustainable energy future - Driving energy innovation together”. ETIP SNET representatives took part in panel discussions, including “Session 1: Closing the Innovation Gap – Reviving the Virtuous Innovating Cycle”, featuring ETIP SNET Chairman Luis Cunha, and Session 3: “Enhancing Resilience & Strategic Autonomy – Securing Global Trade, Supply Chains, and Innovation”, with Nuno de Souza e Silva ETIP SNET WG1 Co-Chair as panellist.
The conference served as a platform to review the progress made so far, exchange insights, and strengthen collaboration among European energy stakeholders. It also reaffirmed ETIP SNET’s role in driving energy system integration and innovation, ensuring that research and policy developments continue to support a sustainable and resilient energy future for Europe.
